lime salt
Muddle berries with juice + syrup. In a cocktail shaker, muddle strawberries, lime juice, and strawberry syrup together, making sure to really smoosh the berries well.
Shake to chill. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to chill the drink.

Fill glass with ice. Add ice to your prepared glass to fill to the top.

Strain into glass. Using a hawthorn strainer, strain the cocktail into your prepared glassware. Straining the drink helps keep chunks of berries from getting caught in the straw!
Garnish + serve. Garnish the drink with a strawberry sliced in half or skewered on a cocktail pick. Enjoy immediately!

ℹ️ troubleshooting tips
balance the flavor - limes can be tricky and vary a lot in acidity, so make sure to taste your drinks before serving them. If they’re too tart, you can add a few drops of homemade saline solution for drinks, or you can add another 1/2 ounce of strawberry syrup.
not enough berry flavor - if your strawberries aren’t ripe, you might need to add more to get a bigger berry flavor. You can also puree them in a blender to get a strawberry “juice” that is more potent in taste.
too chunky - make sure to strain the larger chunks out of your drinks, this is especially important if you’re going to be drinking your cocktails through a straw!
♻️ customize your strawberry margaritas
agave syrup - you can use ½ ounce agave nectar syrup and increase the muddled strawberries to 3 per drink. The flavor won't be as intense, but it'll still be delicious.
swap the tequila - substitute with a reposado tequila (or another variety of tequila) for a slightly deeper, more complex flavor, though it will change the drink's "light-n-fruity" character.
