ℹ️ troubleshooting tips
too sour or bitter - Fresh citrus juice can be pretty acidic, so if your cocktail has a bit of a bite, try adding one to three drops more of saline solution to balance flavors out
weak pomegranate flavor - Using both fresh pomegranate juice and homemade pomegranate syrup creates a deeper, more complex flavor than using just one or the other.
♻️ customize your margaritas
store-bought pomegranate juice - if you can’t find fresh pomegranates and still wanna make this drink, it’s totally possible! Just make sure to use high-quality pomegranate juice that ONLY has pomegranate as the single ingredient. Store-bought juices are also normally made from concentrate, so the color of your margarita might be darker.
orange liqueur alternatives - you can substitute with Grand Marnier or triple sec for Cointreau. Each brings a slightly different orange note, but they'll all work well in the recipe. You can also add in a splash of home-infused pomegranate cordial, too!
