Combine syrup, berries, and juice. Combine the blueberry simply syrup, fresh blueberries, and lemon juice in a cocktail mixing glass.
1 oz blueberry simple syrup, 19 g blueberries, 1 oz lemon juice
Muddle well. Muddle the mixture, making sure to really smash up the blueberries well to macerate the fruit and combine the flavors.
Add vodka. Add in vodka, and mix well using a cocktail mixing spoon.
2 oz vodka
Prep + fill your glass. Fill your cocktail glass with ice and add the cocktail base. The glass should be about 2/3 full, with room at the top for the sparkling water.
Top with sparkling water, garnish, + serve. Top with sparkling lemon water, and garnish with a few blueberries, a slice of lemon, and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately.

limonata vs. sparkling water - using limonata (aka sparkling Italian lemonade) instead of just plain sparkling water adds even MORE lemon flavor to this drink. If you skip this ingredient, you may want to add a biiiit more lemon juice to compensate.
make sure to muddle - muddling the berries might seem like an unnecessary step, but it helps to add even more blueberry flavor to this cocktail.
fresh lemon - make sure to use fresh lemon that is ripe for the best flavor. If your drink is too bitter or sour, you can add in more syrup to offset the acidity in the lemon.
