Welcome to a recipe for fun! I’m thrilled you’re here. Building trust is super important to me, so I created this page to let you know how I roll when it comes to creating and sharing allllll of the tasty tidbits you see here on the site.

A recipe for fun is all about making food worth the effort—because I believe that celebrations aren’t something you have to wait for: even everyday moments deserve something special.

Whether it’s a stunning cocktail, a show-stopping appetizer, or a flavor-blasted take on a classic, my goal is to help you create something that feels celebratory, indulgent, and unforgettable, even if it’s just a regular degular Wednesday.

🍹 better than you remember nostalgia. Yeah, sometimes I’ll use ingredients like Peeps candies and Girl Scout cookies to boost nostalgia, but I also love using fresh, unique, and seasonal ingredients to maximize flavor.

🌿 from scratch & mindfully made. Nearly everything here is homemade. Because the best things in life (in and out of the kitchen) take a liiiittle time, and they’re so worth it. I’ll never promise you a “30-minute meal” because, honestly, I have ADHD and am time-blind.

every day celebrations. I believe cooking is an experience, not a chore. Let’s make it something to savor. Creativity should be cultivated and celebrated each and every day, and that’s what I aim to do here!

🍳 recipe development

I use my background as a classically trained culinary student to craft each and every recipe, but I also draw from my teenage days of watching Iron Chef ’til 3 a.m. Here’s how it happens:

  • seasonal starts. I work with the freshest, most vibrant ingredients I can find because nothing beats produce at its peak! Plus, it’s sorta how I stay inspired. Cruising the weekly grocery store ads keeps me creative.
  • thoughtfully crafted. Recipes aren’t just thrown together; they’re intentionally developed with balance, depth, and a little extra flair.
  • better than store-bought. I believe in making things from scratch when it truly makes a difference—because homemade should taste better. I love finding inspiration from the aisles of the grocery store, and then putting my own homemade spin on them!

Every recipe you find on a recipe for fun is summoned straight from my adhd-nostalgia-fueled imagination, and obsessively tested by me.

All the drool-worthy photos on a recipe for fun? Yep, they’re all mine, styled and taken by me! The photos are of the real recipes, even the drinks (yup I use real ice, too!).

No faux food photo hacks like motor oil on pancakes or shaving cream as whipped cream. I pour my heart into making each shot as colorful, bold, and fun as the recipes themselves. Seriously, it’s my favorite part of creating every recipe.
