A festive cocktail is my favorite way to level up any gathering, and this super fun PeepTini recipe is perfect for making any celebration even more fun. It’s made using Peeps-infused vodka, vanilla vodka, and heavy cream, AND it’s garnished with the famous marshmallow candy!

Three pastel-colored peeps martini drinks in cocktail glasses, each topped with a marshmallow bunny Peep. In the background, more Peeps are arranged on a plate. The setting is bright and festive with a blue tiled backdrop.

It’s no secret here that I love my homemade infusions, aaaand this is one of my wilder ones, right up there with candy corn vodka. Face it: candy infused liquor is just plain fun! 😛 It mixes just the right amount of nostalgia and indulgence, and creates delicious desert martinis that make the perfect lil sweet treat for happy hour or dessert.

As someone who’s been developing homemade drink recipes for over a decade, I can say this is one of my most creative concoctions. Serve it alongside a platter of rice krispie treats or even a plate of freshly baked cookies and you’ve got an inventive dessert spread! Want a drink that the kids can enjoy, too? Combine the Peeps simple syrup from this recipe with seltzer water for a homemade Peeps soda pop, and let ’em loose on an Easter egg hunt!

👀 the secret sauce…

✨ the flavor: This recipe hits The Wow, Mom! and The Intrigue Flavor Factors, because it’s a truly stunning seasonal drink that puts a whole new spin on a classic nostalgic candy!

🎯 the method: Combine the liquors, syrup, and cream in a shaker, then strain, garnish, and serve!

🏆 the win: My issue with a lot of sweet drinks is they are just too big to finish without getting a sugar rush. This adorable dessert cocktail is perfectly portioned for a small indulgence, and a real conversation starter, to boot!

what are The Flavor Factors?

The Flavor Factor Framework is my lil set of “flavor guideposts” for cooking with confidence! Less following recipes to a tee, more trusting your instincts, getting creative in the kitchen, and becoming a more intuitive cook! 👩🏻‍🍳

🛒 ingredients

A labeled ingredient shot of the ingredients used to make a peep martini cocktail.
  • Peeps-infused vodka – this homemade infused peeps marshmallow vodka acts more like a liqueur because of the sugar content of the Peeps, but it’s still packs a punch. If you don’t have a batch ready, you’ll need an extra couple of hours to prepare it.
  • vanilla vodka – vanilla vodka helps to round out the flavor of this cocktail. You can use a storebought brand of vodka like Absolut Vanilia or if you have the time in advance, you can even make your own homemade vanilla infused vodka. Store-bought vodka will keep the color profile nice and neon, so keep that in mind!
  • heavy cream – I’ve used both heavy cream and whole milk to make this recipe, and both work nicely. The high fat content helps to create a fuller bodied drink, whereas a lighter milk will leave the cocktail tasting watery.
  • ice – you’ll need ice for shaking the cocktails and also for chilling your glassware, unless you can pop your glasses in the freezer before assembling! Choose larger cubes for shaking your cocktail so that the drink gets chilled quickly without being diluted too much.
  • marshmallow Peeps candy – each drink is garnished with a Peep candy, so make sure to have enough to garnish every drink.

💡tips & tricks for getting it right

ℹ️ troubleshooting tips

  • too small – the total volume of this drink is about 4 ounces, so be sure to serve it in a small glass like a nick and nora glass or a small coupe glass instead of a large martini glass. If you don’t have a glass that is small enough, you can serve it over ice to compensate for the empty space.
  • too sweet – this drink is sweet, there’s no escaping it! If you find it’s just too sweet for your tastes, you can add another half ounce of vodka or cream to offset the sweetness. You can also add in a few drops of saline solution, or omit the syrup.

🔆 top tip

If you want to garnish your cocktails with a peep, skewer it on a cocktail pick instead of trying to float it in the glass or place it on the rim of the glass. Use a cocktail pick that has a “counter weight” so that it sinks into the glass and holds the Peep up straight in the glass!

🍽️ serving tips

  • sweet ending – this is the perfect sweet dessert cocktail for finishing a meal or gathering! Serve these as a dessert to finish your Easter brunch or dinner.
  • holiday parties – while they started as an Easter candy and are most used around the Easter holiday, peeps also come in other holiday varieties like Halloween and Christmas! You can make this martini recipe using any seasonal peeps marshmallows you like. What’s cuter than an orange pumpkin peep martini for a movie marathon?!?

♻️ customize your Peeps cocktails

  • non-dairy milk – use whatever milk you prefer for your peeps martini, just keep in mind that the creaminess will be affected. Coconut cream or cashew milk would work nicely, but they both may impact the flavor a bit.
  • flavored vodka – you can swap the vanilla vodka for another flavored vodka, like white chocolate or whipped cream vodka if you have a half-used bottle hanging around your liquor cabinet.
  • mocktail – you can turn this drink into a mocktail by omitting both vodkas. Use a peeps simple syrup and a touch of vanilla extract in place of the peeps vodka. You can also use your favorite alcohol alternative spirit, or simply add an ounce of water.

🧰 equipment needed

  • cocktail shaker – a good ole reliable cocktail shaker is the perfect tool for the job of mixing up this easy recipe.
  • coupe glass – choose a small-sized glass like a Nick & Nora glass or a small martini or coupe glass for the best presentation.
  • measuring beaker or jigger – these essential cocktail tools will help you to make sure you’ve got the right proportions of each ingredient.
  • cocktail picks – you’ll need one cocktail pick per martini to help prop up the peep in each glass.
